Welcome to my blog where you will learn all about Face Reading, Chinese Medicine and acupressure points, super foods, super thoughts, organic skin care and all sorts of cool stuff. This is an intro to face reading and how your thoughts affect your appearance. Enjoy!
Face Reading is a branch in Chinese Metaphysics that analyzes an individual’s personality, patterns and destiny based on the features of his or her face. As early as 2000 B.C., it has been used as a method of medical diagnosis. This is because many of the meridians that travel throughout the body travel to the face. One way to understand this is to consider when you have a pain in your neck, back, internally or any other place in your body it can reflect on your face through a furrowed brow, pursed lips, scrunched nose and even tension in the eyes.
According to Chinese medical diagnosis, a healthy face is characterized by a fleshy, fresh, hydrated, bright, plump appearance. Features that reflect a poor state of health include: a bony appearance, scars, overabundant lines or deep lines, protruding moles, discoloration, blemishes, and sagging tissue.
Features are a reflection of what is going on in the heart as well. For instance, if you have kindness and warmth in your heart, that will reflect on your face. If you have evilness and ill will in your heart, that will also reflect on your face. Cosmetic surgery does alter your features; however, health and fortune depend on the spirit of the individual. According to Chinese Medicine, the Heart houses the spirit, also known as your Shen. Your Shen is a reflection of your true inner-workings- your spirit, health and beauty.
Here are a few tips to boost your Shen:
1.) Discover Question: What is the main feeling I experience daily and how does that show up on my face? What are the main thoughts that I have?
2.) Super Thought: The prefrontal cortex of the brain is the “CEO of the brain“. It is responsible for high-level thinking, decision making and consciousness. Different areas of the brain are responsible for processing thoughts; however, the prefrontal cortex is responsible for your thoughts -> words -> actions -> behavior -> habits -> lifestyle. If you are having a rough day, take a moment to smile at yourself in the mirror. Studies have shown that physiology mirrors psychology. That means that if you smile, your brain will follow suit and your thoughts will shift as well. By contrast, in an article by Scientific American, a study shows that individuals who frown during a Botox procedure report being in more pain than those who do not frown. Remember, every positive thought propels you in the right direction.
3.) Acupressure: My favorite points to lift spirit: Du 20, Du 24, Yintang, UB 2, UB 1, Du 26
4.) Superfood (internal): Acai is high in antioxidants. It boosts energy, the immune system and promotes healthy skin. It tastes amazing in this smoothie recipe, especially with Sambazon!

5.) Topical (external): There’s something deeply nourishing about buying a product and taking the time to use it on yourself. The Firm Skin Acai Booster-Serum is the product that I would recommend to boost hydration and address anti-aging concerns. It contains Acai as well asHyaluronic Acid from a vegan-friendly source known as the marshmallow plant. We naturally produce and contain HA in the dermal layer of our skin but produce an enzyme known as hyaluronidase that breaks the HA content down in our skin. HA holds moisture into the skin. We want to keep our features healthy by consistently applying HA so we can have fleshy, fresh, hydrated, and plump skin, and ultimately, bright beaming and beautiful shining Shen! Find Firm Skin Acai Booster-Serum near you.
In conclusion, we have ultimate control of what our faces look like because our physiology mirrors our psychology!
