Facial Acupressure Massage

Facial Acupressure Massage

Great facial acupressure points to relax yourself, your client or to offer over a hot towel.  Also great for acne clients while they rest in a masque.  After this particular demo the model reported that she forgot to take her allergy medication that morning and felt sinus pressure relief.  Enjoy!

Acupressure is the practice of applying pressure with the fingers to specific pressure points on the body with medium pressure. Medium pressure, just as it sounds, is in between deep pressure and light pressure. Light pressure is like moving a feather across the skin, while deep pressure is almost as if you are pressing something deep into the skin. Medium pressure is still firm, just not nearly as firm as deep pressure.

The advantages of acupressure include strengthening the connection between the skin and muscle layers to improve overall facial tone, circulation and to tighten the skin.  I think of it as pressing buttons which will activate muscle tissue and blood flow. Through this “button activation” any excess or deficient energy will be balanced in the region.

The benefits include transforming facial contours and greatly improving skin texture.  Facial skin becomes noticeably tighter, firmer, and toned. You can experience a natural relaxing facelift with no side effects by using your own hands, anytime, anyplace for a glowing and healthier looking complexion!

The benefits are not exclusive to the face.  In fact, the face is like a map that is full of several acupressure points that are connected to other parts of the body.  By applying pressure to the points on the face for cosmetic purposes and more (see below), the body will benefit as well.  It’s a double win!

Here is a quick 7 min demo on great facial acupressure points to relax yourself, your client or to offer over a hot towel.  This treatment is also great for acne clients while they rest in a masque.  After this particular demo, the model reported that she forgot to take her allergy medication that morning and felt sinus pressure relief.  Enjoy!
