Your bone structure sets the foundation of your face shape and can tell you a lot about your personality.  Learn the characteristics, personality traits, associated Chinese Medical element and beauty tips below:

Diamond:  characterized by prominent cheekbones wider than the forehead, regular nose, thin or medium mouth and a pointed or oval chin.

A diamond typically has a strong authoritative personality, is confident and charming.  They are usually the divas or leading ladies and gentlemen.  They can often be unpredictable and a even known to be perfectionists.   They also can be very high-strung and often through temper tantrums!  Diamonds are typically Metal or Fire types.

Beauty tip:  Diamonds, accentuate those cheekbones with a flattering color that compliments your skin tone.

Round:  characterized by round, strong bone structure, flat cheekbones and cheeks, flat ears and a wide nose.  These faces are full with a round chin and hairline and no angular features.

People with round faces are typically self-confident, mentally sharp, adaptable, sincere, influential and reliable.  This is the most trusted face shape.  People with round faces tend to be natural salespeople.  They are usually very friendly, approachable and open but can also be quite ambitious.  They are typically Earth or Metal elements.

People with rectangular faces are often intelligent, active, hard-workers, aggressive with a ton of self-control.  They are often introspective.  They tend to be managers or aristocrats and make excellent advisors.  Many people in business or politics will have a rectangular face shape.  Rectangular faces are often the element it resembles in shape – Wood.

Top Wide Trapezoid:  characterized by a wide forehead, narrow square chin, and full mouth.

Top Wides are often creative, astute, inventive, outgoing and love to perform.  They are the performers and inventors.  Because performers have such a huge imagination, the top of the head often is larger than the jaw.  They are usually Water or Wood types.

Beauty tip:  Top Wides, balance the chin with angled brows and accentuate the eyes with smoky makeup.

Lower Wide Trapezoid:  characterized by a narrow forehead, wide jaw, wide nose and small or medium mouth.

Lower Wides are usually very grounded, intuitive, strong-willed, physically strong, and competitive with good instincts.  They can be very domineering and controlling, almost to the point of being a dictator.  They like to be in charge.  They are usually Earth or Water types.  This is one of the rare face shapes.

Beauty tip:  Low Wides, accentuate the lips with a berry or plum color that makes your smile pop!
